The North Shore United Methodist Church was founded in 1970 with twenty founding members of the First United Methodist Church of Port Jefferson, New York. The church was resurrected in 1995 with many prayers, as the current building was erected on the site of the first church. The spiritual care team at New York Langone University includes chaplains, rabbis, priests, and imams who are available to advise people of all faiths, as well as people who do not have a spiritual practice. Elder Napoli serves as resident pastor at the Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
